                ENCERRADO CON TUS HÉROES DEL OESTE         (IN ENGLISH BELOW) Tengo que agradecer a Javier Melero su artículo "Encerrado (algo menos) con los comanches", publicado durante el confinamiento por el COVID-19 en La Vanguardia (1), que me hizo recordar el Oeste que había disfrutado de niño. De todas formas, como ambos somos abogados y nuestra profesión es defender intereses contrapuestos, no creo que haya ocasión...  En dicho artículo Melero habla del secuestro por parte de los comanches de Cynthia Parker, entonces una niña blanca, que inspiró años después la novela  de Alan Le May (nada del otro mundo, si me preguntan), "The Searchers" ( “Los Buscadores") que, a su vez, sirvió de base para la "peli"  del mismo nombre en inglés (y que, en castellano, se llamó "Centauros del Desierto", 1956) de "Pappy" Ford. (EN CASTELLANO DEBAJO) ANOTHER ENDING Going back and forth around the much-vaunted ending of "No Time to Die" ("Sin tiempo para morir", 2021), an issue where nobody is willing to agree, I am of the opinion that perhaps the scriptwriters of Bond's latest adventure should have read a couple of articles written by Mr. Quim Monzó and Mr. Joaquín Luna in 2017. They are both journalists from the daily "La Vanguardia" of Barcelona. When rumours were spread that the above movie was going to be filmed, Mr. Monzó claimed he had heard that, in this new Bond movie, James was getting married to the character of Madeleine Swann, portrayed by Lea Seydoux in the previous installment, “Spectre” (2015). Mr. Monzó then argued that perhaps James should end up divorcing his wife and going out on Thursday nights with journalist Mr. Joaquín Luna for a drink at the cocktail bars in La Granada Street of Barcelona… Below you will find the links of both articles by Mr. Monzó (1)
