SEVEN SAMURAI - AKIRA KUROSAWA 1954

(EN CASTELLANO DEBAJO)  I recently saw "Seven Samurai" (1954) on DVD. I'm ashamed to say that I had never seen it before, even though I had read a lot about that movie and how it had "inspired" Hollywood's "The Magnificent Seven".  Well, in my case, I missed "The Magnificent Seven" (1960) as a child & saw it as an adult. I must say that it made a very poor impression on me. It was a rather childish film, even for a western (where goodness always prevails). Yes, the casting was very promising with a bunch of young actors (Mc Queen, Coburn, Bronson...), who made it big in the film world later in their careers. But, all in all, I think those young actors performed much better in "The Great Escape" (1963), by the same director, John Sturges, which, after all, I think it can be considered an adult film (unlike "The Magnificent Seven").  What had always restrained me from seeing "The Seven Samurai" was its runn
